Flags of various countries of the world will be held high in Owerri – Imo State, Nigeria at the “International Gathering for Peace and Human Rights in Africa” on April 11th to 13th 2014 as Country Delegates, UN Officials, Diplomats, Actors and Actresses, Footballers, Artistes, NGOs and Individuals from around the world gather to carry their flags side-by-side during the 3-day summit including Novelty matches between the African Youth Delegates versus the rest of the World Delegates, both male and female; Cultural dances and Artiste for charity events, to honor African Nationalist Leaders and Freedom Fighters, the African Royal Dynasties, and some African and International Personalities, and inter-faith religious service
The purpose is to teach and create awareness about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and inspire them to become advocates for tolerance and peace in Africa.
